Everything you want to know

The questions couples ask before they start — how it works for guests, what happens to your photos, what it costs, and how it's different from a shared folder. For account-specific help, the help centre goes deeper.

Fig. 01Getting started

The basics

What is Evering?
Evering is one private gallery for your wedding, where every photo from every guest lands in the same place. You share a link (and a printable QR code with your names on it); guests upload straight from their phones with no app; and selfie face-search lets anyone surface the photos they appear in within seconds. One payment, and the photos are yours to download and keep.
Do we need to download an app?
No — and neither do your guests. Evering runs in the browser for everyone. You manage your gallery from any phone or laptop, and guests just tap your link or scan the QR. There's nothing to install from an app store.
How long does it take to set up a gallery?
A few minutes. Create the gallery, give it your names, and you immediately have a share link and a QR code ready to print. You can set it up weeks ahead and it simply waits until the day.
Should we create the gallery before or after the wedding?
Before. Set it up ahead of time so the QR is printed for the venue and the link is in your group chat before the first guest arrives. Photos can keep arriving for as long as your gallery is live.

What your guests do

How do guests add their photos?
They scan your QR code or open your link, then upload straight from their camera roll over the web — or send photos in by WhatsApp. There's no sign-up and no app to download first.
Do guests need to create an account?
No. Viewing the gallery, uploading their own photos, and finding themselves with a selfie all work without anyone signing up. You're the only person who needs an account, because you're the one managing the gallery.
Can guests upload videos as well as photos?
Yes. Short clips sit alongside photos in the same gallery — with a play button and the clip length on the tile — and download in full quality just like the photos.
What is selfie face-search, and is it private?
A guest takes one quick selfie and instantly sees every wedding photo they appear in. It's strictly opt-in per guest, the selfie itself never leaves their device, and only an anonymous numeric fingerprint reaches our servers — used only for matching. Any guest can delete their face data afterwards, and you can switch the feature off entirely.

Privacy and ownership

Who can see our gallery?
By default, anyone with your link — the right tradeoff for a wedding where you want guests to share freely. If you'd rather keep it tight, turn on the optional passcode and only the people you give it to can get in.
Is the gallery actually private?
Yes. Galleries are never indexed by search engines and aren't listed anywhere public — the only way in is your link (plus the passcode, if you set one). Your wedding photos don't show up in anyone's search results.
How many photos can we collect?
There's no hard cap. The bulk-upload tool is built to take 2,000+ photos straight from your phone, and the gallery handles thousands of guest candids on top of that without slowing down.
Do we own and keep our photos?
They're yours. You can download a full-resolution copy any time, as often as you like — Evering is where everything gathers, not the only place your photos are allowed to live.

After the day

How long does the gallery stay online?
Your gallery is live for a year after you activate it — plenty of time for guests to keep adding photos and for you to relive the day and download everything you want to keep.
Can guests keep adding photos after the wedding?
Yes, for as long as the gallery is live. The cousin who finds forty photos on their phone a week later can still drop them straight in.
Can we moderate what shows up in the gallery?
Yes. Turn on "Approve guest uploads" and every guest photo waits for your OK before it appears. Guests can also flag anything inappropriate with one tap, and you can delete any photo from the gallery — it stays recoverable for a while in case you change your mind.

Cost and how it compares

How much does Evering cost?
One payment per wedding: AUD 99 with our launch offer — regularly AUD 149. No subscription, no per-guest fees, no upsells. Australian GST is included at checkout and a proper tax-invoice receipt is emailed to you automatically.
Is it really just one payment?
Yes. Pay once and your gallery is live for a year — there's no recurring charge and nothing to remember to cancel.
How is this different from a shared Drive folder or a WhatsApp album?
Those scatter your photos across apps, quietly compress them, and leave nobody findable — you still spend weeks chasing pictures afterwards. Evering keeps every guest's photos at full resolution in one private place, and selfie face-search means anyone can pull up the photos they're in within seconds instead of scrolling thousands.
Can we get a refund?
Yes — there's a money-back guarantee. If Evering isn't what you hoped for, write to us any time up to 30 days after your wedding and we'll refund the activation fee in full — and we won't pull the gallery out from under your wedding guests while we do it.
